Figured Mathew’s would of came out with a directly tuneable cam or limb pocket, like Bowtech and Elite, or some crazy new system. Seems like they are doing the Apple incremental proprietary money grab!

Joe Laskey; I am with you regarding the rubber dry rotting or degrading. I also wonder if it will squeak if it becomes wet or the limbs are not even dependent on cam lean.

Mathews is really good at proprietary design. Can’t hate them for that. Another great review PJ. My V3X 33 is 6 months used. I might upgrade for the hell of it. Well done Mathew’s. Top hats can go.

Mathews has mastered the dead in the hand after the shot but after the shot all the work is done. So many better bows out there Mathews is getting left behind. Almost every bow companies bow are close to vibration free. I want tune ability and a good draw cycle and let off.

Love some of the new tech but really wanted something more like elite has tune ability draw length in 1/4 inch adjustment and higher speed

I see the finish on the limbs is already coming off lol

8 limbs? Seems like a lot of extra stuffing around for minimal gain if the V3X was so quiet?

Not nearly enough change for me to purchase this. My atlas will do me for another year, i might just go get a apa this year instead.

The quality of rubber will be key for longevity.

Might be a nice do-it-yourself upgrade project if you have a band saw and some weather stripping! Just Kidding!

I'm happy with my Matthew's No Cam. It does just fine👍

I'm sure they're nice bows but my 30" Halon 7 will be sticking around for at least another year. IMO, if Mathews wants to build the ultimate short hunting bow, it would be 30"-31" ATA with no less than a 7" brace.

Great review!! I have a Matthews V3 31. I love the bow. Have a few questions. 8 limbs, can anything get out of tune over time? Life limits on the center rubber? String is replaced at 1000 shots, so the rubber may have replacement life. I like all the internal mounting features. I work on aircraft and have seen open inserts corrode over time. Does Matthews have an insert plug to plug the open holes so they stay in better condition. And the last question is does the rubber and internal mounts also reduce the bow weight than the V3X 33 and 29? Didn't the V3X have a speed rating of 342 FPS and now 336FPS. Why the difference is it is the same bow.

Man… kinda disappointed in Mathews this year, got me looking at that pse Mach 34 pretty hard, basically it’s the same bow as they’ve had for the last several years, I also wish they had a 80 lbs option, I have the VXR 31.5 from 2019 and other than the cable guard and a couple extra holes in the riser it’s the same bow, what happens when your walking through brush and that knob holding your $2-300 stabilizer falls off I hope it locks some how, just the bracket to hold the rear bar is $200 you’ll easily double the price of this bow just getting getting the basic accessories for it

My v3x 29 is a great bow and is already quite and dead in the hand.

PJ really put on his tap-dancing shoes to try and convince customers that these bows are worth buying.

Draw weight, draw length, let off, and top hat to of which you have to 265 dollar they do shoot nice..they are just huge

Let's be honest. Bow technology has been maxed out for awhile. There is a ton of marketing BS but performance and specs are essentially the same. Prices soar while performance stalls. Still a cool bow.

I still shoot a vertix and love it. I even like the top hats. As for vibration control… what vibration?
