Mathews Phase4 29 Long-Term Review

Показать описание
If you only looked at the specs compared to the VX3 29 I tested last year, you’d be forgiven if you thought the only thing that changed for 2023 is the name. After all, they both share the same 29-inch axle-to-axle length, 6-inch brace height, and 340 feet-per-second rated speed. The CrossCentric cams are still there, as is the innovative Bridge-Lock sight that mounts inside the riser.
But Mathews has a well-earned reputation for pushing the boundaries of archery technology for a reason. And this year that reason can be found in the limbs. Those limbs now have damping material built right in. Where most other compound bows feature four different limbs, The Phase4 has eight and in rudimentary terms, they split the old limbs in half and sandwiched damping material in between.
The result is a bow that is as close to dead in the hand as I’ve ever shot and ridiculously quiet to boot.
Also new for this year is the new Bridge Lock stabilizer system. Similar to the Bridge-Lock sight, the new stabilizer mounts in the riser. This means you can not only adjust the weight at the end, but also the length of the stabilizer by moving it in or out.
