Mathews New 2023 Bow: Phase 4

This review features the Mathews Phase 4 hunting bow. Eastmans' Dan Pickar breaks down all the specs and speed tests it at the range. The Bridge-Lock Stabilizer and Sight systems help streamline this bow and give it great balance. It features a first-of-its-kind limb-based damping system to deaden and silence post-shot vibration. Mathews claims this is their quietest bow yet and Dan isn't disappointed! It's available in 29" and 33" models.

You think that shoots really good. The SS34 Bowtech is extremely smooth and then the valley to letoff just thumps in and it's like holding air.

They’re not bad. I don’t like how the weight stacks in the back end of the draw then rolls over fairly hard.

I'll still keep using my Z7 and my Helium.. Haven't ever needed to upgrade. They still work amazing and hit wherever I aim. New bows are outrageously expensive in any of the top three brands

Never used a compound bow before, but from the videos I've seen, it looks like it clicks when it's fully drawn. Is that the case, or am I imagining things? Is it easier to hold it at full draw instead of, say, half draw, because of the way it works mechanically?

Still shooting my DXT. Hard to say if I'll ever get a new one. Prices have gotten....well, stupid. I'm getting older and more sensible. Can't do it.
