2023 Mathews Phase 4. Is it really more quiet? We put it to the test.

We take the new Mathews Phase 4 bow and shoot it side by side with the V3X to see if this bow really is more quiet and to see if it really does have less hand shock. We were surprised by the outcome.

I love my v3x 29 in granite. I am not upgrading. I just got the v3x 29 in October it was a custom order wt red and black strings. It shoots great and fast and dead in the hand and quite. I have the hamskea epsilon rest made for mathews.

Thought you might have a sound decibel machine for an accurate test

thanks for being the ONLY one who actually tested the sound with a scale comparing the 2 bows. Everyone does speed and everyone who has shot a Mathews knows it's fast enough. I bought one for the quietness and new tech.

I own the V3X 33 and my brother has the V3X 29. Having shot all 4 bows, there is a noise difference between the 29's and a more noticable difference in sound and vibration between the 33's. Personally, it is not worth the extra $700 it would cost to use the new stabilizer system, why would you not use the new stabilizers if the bow was designed to be used with them on, and my brother shares my opinion. At my local shop, the people that are buying the Phase 4 bows are people that are either buying their first Mathews, upgrading to a newer bow, i.e. VXR to Phase 4 or the people that get new bows every year.

What you measure is the sound of the arrow hitting the target… irrelevant

They should definitely come out with a carbon bow

This is like the 3rd or 4th vid like this that I've watched right up to the point they admit they don't have a decibel meter... You realize you can download an app, right?

Ironically most people who buy the phase 4 will be shooting factory fletched arrows with blazer vanes and the deer are still gonna drop out of the way from the sound of the loud ass arrow coming

Would love to hear a comparison with the stabilizers and without cause they say the stabilizers do the most

My son has the V3X 29 and I have the new Phase 4 33. Shooting outdoors it's about even steven as far as both of us can tell. My Phase 4 is beyond sweet as it should be, but so is the V3X. It's neck and neck really. They are both smooth, quiet, and fast. I'm shooting a 460-grain arrow at 67lbs 29 inch draw lgth at 270 fps. I've killed plenty of deer with lighter setups for those who believe in the "adult" arrow Ranch Fairy nonsense. It's for the folks that want to take out the shoulders busting through the scapula if you ask me. I never aim for the shoulder.

The only real "innovation" left is the tuning systems like Elite and Bowtech. Mathews, hoyt, and pse are lacking there.

Absolute marketing gimmick! These companies are running out of innovation. Theres only so much you're going to do with a bow. Speed, noise, vibe, accuracy etc

V3X made the least sound.. Top marks to the Mathews marketing team🤣

Marketing video not impressed sorry but it's not a upgrade worth spending money on, prefer last year's look, just my opinion

Useless test. Show the actual decibel readings. Obvious you two favor Mathews

Horrible sound test. Where is the actual decibel reading?

For someone at a “pro” shop, you need work on your draw, and trigger punch.
