The "don't pull a file" thing... has been concretely disproven. Maybe when sharpening a blade you should only push. But in general. Filing back and forth does it twice as fast. And it doesn't hurt the file.

It's a fine axe, but I was really more interested in that Vice on the table. I haven't seen one of those since shop class 30 years ago. I'm about to need one or two of those

The simplest way to sharpen an axe: take an angle grinder...or one of those 25$ automatic sharpeners (Fiskars sells a combo for axes and knives) Works about 90% as good and takes about 10 seconds

I get the push action of the file BUT, I believe that one should use the push action in the same direction on both sides.
IE, ; Away from the handle. 👉🤔
