I live in Jefferson City Missouri so it’s pretty similar here accept Missouri has a major league baseball team and Jefferson City is more of a moderate conservative area

I have lived in Cedar Rapids my whole life and I can tell you what’s true and not. #1 is somewhat true it used to be very cold but now with climate change and other factors it barely goes below zero in the winter and #2 is ture BUT if you live in a suburb area where there is no corn it’s not very humid at all! #3 is only true if you are leave if Iowa and on the border of Cedar Rapids you barely go by any factors where you live and we also have one of the best air quality with it being all green! ( perfect air). As well as the only factory your would smell is maybe Quaker Oats but it’s never a bad smell it smells sweet like candy. #4 as the is true but we have some of the best players from Cedar Rapids. #5 not true! Cedar Rapids has some of the biggest carnivals and parades in Iowa p, as well as many many historical sites and art pieces. #6 to me I don’t see how this matters. #7 not true we not only have buses there is not energy and climate friendly electrical bikes and scooters most commonly you will find down town. #8 not entirely true your tax goes with your age and income of course but also here you get benefits and a lot if you have kids even one you could get away with a part time job. #9 CEDAR RAPIDS HAS NEVER HAD A TORNADO TOUCH GROUND! Only thing we got was derecho and it was near as bad here as it was in other parts of Iowa. # 10 it only flooded bad once maybe twice. It floods maybe ever five years and it not even a flood the water gets a bit high, sometime make small puddles it the road but it rarely Floods as bad as people make it seem.

In my opinion Cedar Rapids is probably one of the best places in Iowa, we are a strong community and everyone is extremely friendly. When I saw this video and watch it the first time I felt offended that people say this kinda stuff when it’s not all true. There isn’t really a point to say why people shouldn’t move somewhere they should do research anyway but seeing people spread lies about places breaks my heart it seems to me you are wanting people to move where your located so you might get to sell a house. My whole life I have been here and I have traveled around Iowa as well and Cedar Rapids is still one of the best top 3 for sure. Update the video or don’t but know I doubt I am the only Cedar Rapids lifer or whatever that is upset about this.
I would also like to state I am not trying to be rude at all that is not my intentions but I am the person where I don’t wanna see people tell others lies about a beautiful place like Cedar Rapids. @LIVINGINIOWA

You're a realtor? Don't want much business the way you talk about Cedar Rapids. Lived in Waterloo, Cedar Rapids most of my life - now live in Minneapolis, MN. Iowa's weather/cold does not even come close to MN cold. Would move back to Iowa in a minute, if I could. And I certainly would not hire you as my realtor !
