A lot of people say that basic bodyweight exercises are too easy but yet those same people use awful form when performing said exercises.

I am 46. Have been doing these exercises since my teens. Recently I ruptured my distal biecept tendon doing chin ups. I cycle intensity and volume. There was no warning before this tear. My research indicates these tears only happen when using this supinated grip. In hindsight, the playground bar was wet and slippery from rain and the injury happened at the moment of jumping up and grabbing. And throughout my life, I rarely ever isolated my arms with weights because they would get too big. From now on I will train arms to protect these arm tendons.

Question to push ups in general: is it necessary to touch the floor with the chest? Or is it better to stop before like you did in the video?

Man, i am 50 and I do regular pull up. Do you think I should change for chin up? I have no issues about my joints.
