I've been watching you guys for years since I decided pre-PT was the path I wanted to take in college, to this day halfway through my 1st year as a DPT student. Still my favorite PT videos on YouTube!

Thank you, I have sprained both ankles 2x. After the last one, I have been hesitant to take the long walks I used to with my husband. Thank you for the exercises that will help strengthen my ankles. I was never given this info that I should do these to help prevent future sprains.

I grew up doing ballet and have sprained my right ankle about 15 times in my life. It caused me to stop obtaining dance as a career. I can't wait to do all of these things and see how much better it makes me!

I dislocated and broke my ankle in 2 places on 1/24/18. I’m now in a walking boot. I started out 2 weeks ago with the boot, crutches and orders to do 50% percent weight bearing. 2 days ago my doctor gave me the ok to do 100% weight bearing with my boot and crutches. I’m still swollen and scared to do 100% weight bearing. Luckily I started physical therapy today. It went well but I wish you two could be my physical therapist! I’ll just keep watching your videos including watching this one!! Thanks for helping us by posting these videos!! I can’t wait until I’m walking again with both feet!’

Broke my fibula on Christmas eve. What a way to spend our holiday. I guess everything happens for a reason. I feel like I don't have enough motion in my ankle for strength training at physical therapy yet.

2:57, surely I'm not the only one that heard it haha. But nah Bob and Brad have been real helpful. I had 3 cracks in my fibula and I've learnt so much from Bob and Brad

I'm a 50 year old man. On March 9th I fell off a flatbed truck at work. Height was about 6 feet. I landed very hard on my back and when I rolled onto my right side my knee smacked the ground hard and I was told at the hospital that I had shattered my tibia and femur bones where they connect to my knee and my knee cap was cracked and had a chunk missing. On March 11th I had my first surgery where they applied rods to the outside of my leg, held in place by screws in my upper thigh, lower shin just above my ankle and around my knee. They also inserted a tube to allow it to drain the blood that was pooling in my injury. On March 16th I underwent my second surgery where they inserted one plate and 15 screws. The drainage tube was removed. I've been told that I'm in for a long recovery due to the severity of the injury and how old I am. I haven't started physical therapy yet due to the coronavirus lockdown in my state.

Thanks for the video, broke my fibula and sprained my ankle pretty bad. Been in a air cast, which was my 3rd option after the doctor recommend surgery or a cast. I'm glad i followed my intuition, in my 7th week now and I started putting weight on it and walking. Surprised at how much I could do of the weight bearing exercises 🎉. Reading the comments it surprised me how disconnected people are to feeling into thier injuries and knowing when to take it easy, ice, wrap and elevate. Our bodies are highly intelligent we are Elemental. Intelligence has hit a all time low. 😢

These comments are just what the doctor ordered... most enlightening, 1st hand experiences! Sprained my ankle and broke the fibula at the ankle in January and given Aircast Boot & elbow crutches... suspect it'll need to be nailed/pinned/screwed to the Tibia?

thanks for this video. i fractured my lower fibula (outside right ankle) slipping throwing a spinning kick and landing wrong. got it on video as well. i was lucky i didnt break my fibula clean. the top of my foot hurts more then my ankle after i took my boot off after the first 4 days to have a bath. the nurse didnt put my foot in the air cast properly. kinda sucks but i am recovering fast because i am always trying to pump my toes or do some kind of motion type exercise with the injured foot/ankle . my doctor was not so clear on how to properly enlighten me on the best and fastest road to recovery. he just said no weight barring. i definitely still lost a lot of strength in my right/ dominate leg/foot/ankle but im already getting it stronger everyday and not trying to over do it. i for sure dont want to tare my calf muscle or tare any ligaments or muscles in my foot either.
