I had a very painful sprained ankle from stepping off the back porch onto a rock. I found a little book on natural remedies my Mom gave me. I grated up a potato and made a poultice over the sprain. Slept on the couch. In the morning, no pain, no swelling, and I could walk perfectly!!!

I fell 1/2/2022 on ice backwards and to the right. Apparently, I held my left foot to the ground too long and felt excruciating pain in the front top of my left foot and the outside near the peroneal tendon. Doctors took too long (1 year) to perform MRI and I did tear the peroneal tendon and there is a lot of type 2 scar tissue. I can walk but it hurts with every step on the outside of my foot. One surgeon wants to graph a bridge type artificial tendon while another said I don’t need surgery- just more PT. What is your gut reaction if this was your injury? Thanks! Greg

Hello, I'd like to know if toe fusion hardware can be removed? After what period of time and is it safe? The pain I have is from the hardware may not be as bad as the spur & arthritis but enough to drive anyone insane. Thanks for all your videos & sharing your knowledge with us.

Hi Doctor, from Scotland. I unfortunately fell onto an already weekend ankle. X-ray taken, no break. Say a grade 3 injury. Was getting better after three months then all of a sudden could hardly walk 10 yards without excruciating pain radiating from the top of the foot. More X-rays, no brake. Could this be arthritic, no pain when not load bearing.

I had a grade 3 sprain, didn’t need surgery but did 9 months of physical therapy after a long recovery. A year later, bi-malleolar fracture of the same ankle. 😭 3 surgeries. Dorsiflexion is still terrible. Wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy. 😢
