Exercise is absolutely beneficial for metabolism, specifically intervals be it walking/running or circuit resistance are what ive found keep the body guessing snd are the most beneficial. I like to keep my heart rate on the higher end and i absolutely get both cardio and resistance benefits.

Excercise is helpful in activating ampk to reduce insulin resistance. Of course this is just the beginning.

If improvements in insulin sensitivity disappear within a couple of weeks of stopping exercise, then did you really improve insulin sensitivity, or just temporarily increase glucose uptake/ disposal, possibly through insulin independent uptake/ clearance?

We've evolved to move so it's no surprise we need exercise.

It is inappropriate to say exercise reduces insulin resistance because exercise facilitates uptake of glucose independent of the pancreas and insulin.
