Tag along as I tackle my first race in several weeks! The first race after vacation always feels rough to me, but this race day was very unique. I incorporated a long run into my race day plans: a longer warmup run, followed up with a 5k race at tempo/progression run effort, and then finishing with a long cooldown run. With a few upcoming 10k races and my first half marathon in YEARS, this day was good preparation for what is on the horizon. Dutton was also happy to be there to support me and made an appearance in this video. 🐕
