The smartest way to get lean, to lose fat, to achieve a physique with low body fat, free from love handles, lower back fat and abdominal fat is a topic that is highly debated. As someone who has achieved this using several different methods I have found what I feel is the best possible approach, though I am certainly open to other ideas on the topic.

Wether you believe in such diets as
Vegan
Mediterranean
Carnivore
Keto
Intermittent Fasting
Low Carb
South Beach Diet

or if you prescribe to the idea that being flexible, not using any particular approach but being accountable to daily nutrtient and macro goals is the way to go I am going to explain the only diet that is guaranteed to work for fat loss.

Fat loss depends on energy deficit only, independently of the method for weight loss

The science of fat loss can create groups, or tribes who truly believe there method is the best method. There are many ways to adjust your life to take in the proper amount of calories while using activity to help with making fat loss possible.

The smartest way to get lean, to lose fat and to reach your physique goals is not black and white, so don't get territorial!

Paul, I’ve been following you for years and I think this is your best physique. The definition looks so solid and symmetrical. I’m 51, so the fact that your doing this at 47 is something to be appreciated. Thanks for the videos. It’s a wonderful source of encouragement.

Paul, I love your content and been watching you for a long time. I have battled weight most of my adult life. When I tried caloric deficit I walked around hungry and eventually caved in and binged. I am 63 years old and 155 pounds at 5ft 4in tall. When I turned 57 I discovered Keto and it was the first time I lost body fat and was never hungry. I hit the gym daily and walk outside a lot living in Southern California. I went from 215 pounds to 155. As of the past 6 months I've been mostly carnivore. I'm sure if I ate the amount of carbs you suggest I'd be gaining fat in no time. And a twinkie or Mcdonalds diet? I'd be ready to enter the Macy's parade as one of the floats. I'm currently working on looking like your "before" pictures. LOL. But that is an improvement for me. What makes your content so valuable is that it puts forth mostly simple principles that will work for anyone. It's validated by results, over time, with many people. Thermodynamics is a thing. For the last few months, I have been making myself CRAZY listening to every "expert" sharing info on every type of eating plan. But, what I wasn't doing was taking all that knowledge and then applying it to my own body. Now, I am grateful for all that I have had the chance to learn. But, I have to do what works for me, using those teachings.
