Behringer XR18 in a pro studio. Killer Interface.

Thank you for the video, very very useful. I'm a drummer and I just purchased an XR18 to be able to benefit of a mixer to be sent to main studio mixer (band rehearsing room) and to record my 10 drums channels in a DAW (I use Reaper).
As you said the high level Gate-EQ-Compressor and additional 4 FX to be used are a great way to start with a good sound in the first place, both for live and for recording.
But this comes the problem. When I try to USB record on Reaper I can only do in the Analog mode (in the IN/OUT MENU - USB Sends) and not in other modes (POST EQ, PRE-FADER, etc.). In fact I got in huge distorsion and clipping in Reaper.
Of course I tried to lower to zero and adjust bith Gain and USB Trim, as well as other setups in Reaper but still the issue is there. I'm quite disappointed as I don't really want to have complex post-editing activity but rather a good EQed sound in direct recording, thet's one of the reasons I got the XR18!
From your video it seems that it is possible to "track" EQed recordings but I'm stuck with issues.

Steve.... I'm using my Xr18 too and i added recently a 24" Viewsonic touch screen to replace my Yamaha 01V96. It's so versatile ! This week i bought a
Behringer XENYX Control 2 usb . What a setup for less money

I’ve been seriously considering this as a replacement for my typical interface. I track bands as well, and I’ve really been wanting to track with EQ and compression on drums, but I haven’t really wanted to go out and spend a fortune on analog gear to do so. I watched your other video on it as well and i’m definitely switching over to this unit and workflow. Great video….Thank you. 🙏😁
PS….. I use the Behringer ADA 8200 in my set up and those preamps are clean and quiet.
I even had an Audient interface and I liked the preamps less on that. The Behringer is slightly cleaner and has more headroom from my experience. 👍🏻👍🏻

Bought this as my gigging rig and when I upgraded my DAW to a new laptop that did not have FireWire ended up trying it out as a replacement interface. The sound is really good. Add an xtouch and you have physical faders. The clincher is using the Ultranet with P16s to provide custom headphone mixes to everyone that they control themselves. Pretty amazing, especially considering the price. If I upgrade, it will probably be to an x32.

I've been using the X18 Table Top Version in my studio since 2014. I've tried Presonus series III Studio Live
32. But I prefer Behringer X32 and X18.Daw control is excellent with the Xtouch added. Because I also do Dub, I'm upgrading the studio with an X32 For the Added faders

What about doing punch ins on a track? How do you monitor the track up until the punch in happens? This is always a problem for any setup I've tried to incorporate a mixer to a DAW.

Steve I use an X-R 18 for my wife’s Kirtsn band. I have only used it in live rehearsals and performances. I use 8 channels. I have taught myself how to produce great sound in live performances Want to start recording and then mixing. Never used a DAW program before. What do you recommend for a beginner. Steve, the new drummer in my band has the Midas version of this set up. We were thinking about using it to track live drums. Can you send send the individual inputs to individual tracks in a daw for that purpose?
