Thanks for the well done tutorial. Saved me a lot of time. My situation is exactly as you have laid out. My iPad is tied up with my lyrics app so I bought a cheap android to control our XR12 on stage. You covered all of the things that weren't intuitive making the switch. No master fader with the channel screens, controlling an effect on all channels in one screen, etc. Your improvement tips are also well thought out. Thanks again. Very helpful.

There is an app, Mixing Station, that is just like this Android app but has more features. It allows you to customize your layout also. I just tried it out today and like it. Again thanks for all your training videos. I'm learning a lot from you.

Very nice work. I bought an Android today for just this reason. I'm installing an XR16 this weekend and I don't want to leave my personal iPad behind. And nice suggestions for Behringer (i.e.: combining the MUTE/UNMUTE button ... doh!)

Thanks for your super helpful videos, Sean, for the same reason as you I now need to get a cheap android tablet to leave at gigs but was little apprehensive being a Mac user!

Awesome video. I found this helpful and I am an Android/PC person (not mac/iOS). Never knew you could tap and hold the buttons on the far right to edit what is displayed (I did know that you could create new screens with custom layouts). Music Group should see this and take your suggestions into consideration.

Thanks for the vid. Can you tell me how to change FX on a MR18 with an android tablet? All I can do is open the parameter settings on the effect that's loaded into one of the four slots but I can't see any way of actually changing the effect rack to a different type. Help!

Nice video. I have a question: how to change effect? Because in the I-pad app you can choose the effect you wanna use for each slot. How to do this on the Android app?

Thank you for your great and helpful videos! Perhaps you can help me: I am looking for a little PA for my band and I like the features of the Behringer Air series very much. I have an Android tablet, so I downloaded the Android app and toyed around with it for some time. I labelled and coloured all the scribble strips, edited my layers, my effects, the faders, pans eqs, compressors and so on and saved all in a scene. Then I closed and reopened the app and loaded the scene. All the layers, faders, pan and other channel settings appeared as supposed but it was a nasty surprise that the names and colours of the scribble strips, the effects and the routing were not saved. I tried another method to save them: in the save menu of the Android app is a tab called “Shows” (I could not find this in the “X-Air Edit” for Windows), so I did all the editing again and saved the layout as a show with the same frustrating result. My question: how did you save your settings and what have I done wrong? Thank you in advance. (Sorry for my English, it’s not my native language).

There is one very basic thing missing here that I can not find anywhere! How on earth can I access my bus channel strips? I mean the main point of using this is so that each musician can dial in there on mix. On the iPad i just select my bus and move the faders where I want them. So far the only option i see on the bus is overall volume, and when i click my bus and move faders it just moves them in the main mix! Help!!

do you know how to change the view of the RTA section to ring out monitors to be sliders instead of the dots that you drag around? I Saw a behringer video showing this and the screen looks nothing like my android does

Have you tried using this on a larger tablet like the 200 dollar nextbook flexx at Walmart? Perhaps the larger screen would allow for a better layout?

Whenever you press the S/E function on the channel strip you have a Gain and a Trim function. Which one should i use for gain staging? And at which point should i use either fuction? Please Help.

If a small mixer like soundcraft or Allen and heath could be given 8 out of10 for sonic performance (including eq flexibility) what would you give the android xr18? Cheers. Some background on me: I work as solo or duo mostly for corporate functions for high ranked officials so I don't need an 8 inputs but rather high quality sound with better than 3 bands of mixer eq. Cheers for your help in advance.

Hi. I'm one of those who doesn't know the digital technology. I just bought the XR16 to go with my Android tablet and was able to connect and even change volume levels using a mic. But everything else you show I'm unable to access, or else nothing seems to do anything (like putting the L/R on the same page as the 1through8 faders). All my Aux/FX faders are stuck in RTN mode, I can't figure how to change them back. All the screens I get are different than the ones shown on your video. Since I bought mine Dec 2016, it it a different version than you are using? I don't want to be another buyer who returns this product because I can't figure out the technology, so Is there a manual other than the one that comes with the unit that I can learn all this from, a video that actually teaches rather than shows what the unit can do?
