Very clever! Although I am using "Mixing Station" instead of "Edit" it works just like you explained. 17/18 are already assigned to AuxIn01. Thx

Thanks you for explaining that. Dumb that the channel is named AUX rather than 17/18

I think that the i/o preset gives you ability to load routing selections you saved previously and you choose what presets you want to overwrite. However for selecting the ch 17/18 input, just select the analogue input on the channel strip or usb if both the XR18 and your interface is plugged into a usb port on your computer .. also, the XR18 is an interface so why are you using the rack mounted interface? If its part of your studio set up, and the XR is for live, I get it.
