I'm unable to use sliders using my MacBook, when I try to move the slider it tries to move the whole slot. like I'm trying to reorder the channel. Any idea?

It looks to me like your signal path is: XR18 to router, then is there a hard wire connection from router to Macbook? I saw another video advising direct hard wire from XR18 to a 'switch' (from which you would connect macbook for secure hard wire connection) but then onwards from switch to router from which wireless devices could access. Can a router act as a parallel through (i.e. continuation of data directly as hard wire to macbook), or does the router at this point still make the connection fallible? I'm presuming and hoping not, but i've been on two gigs now where wifi interference has hindered the most menial of tasks and so don't want to take the risk. Many thanks, Paul
