Of course, this doesn‘t mean that everyone who‘s capable of doing this is a narcissist. But if someone is totally dismissive of your feelings after having hurt you, then even if they‘re not a narcissist, they are not a person who will ultimately make you happy . . . because to them, your feelings and the pain they have caused you are nothing.

You said it right in the beginning… Narcs NEVER apologize! So true! Had to learn this the hard way, ex gaslighting me for his betrayals and “family” unable to take accountability for harmful toxic words said to me. They truly have no interest in real relationships or people in general, let alone accountability for their words and actions. Devoid of ALL emotion but they can put on a really good show like they “care”.

Very accurate. Had one friend who would always say “I said I was sorry why are still upset? Get over it. Move on. Let it go. Why are you dragging it up again?” And was very dismissive of everyone’s feelings. Deleted her from my life and am much happier for it. 🙌

My daughter's Dad is a covert narc and he was forever saying sorry, and expecting it to be completely forgotten about immediately, so he could continue doing what he was apologising for. He even had his flying monkeys saying to me "From what I've heard, you kept dragging up the past and would never let him move on from it". Him and his flying monkeys boil my p**s

Narcissists think they are never wrong. Just a word without true meaning doesn't heal the situation. We should be able to admit our fault sincerely and be willing to communicate to improve the situation. Thank you for sharing this!🙏

"I'm sorry, " doesn't absolve a wrong doing. It admits faul so a discussion can be had, correction can be made, healing can begin.

So true. Regardless if they are a narcissist or not, this kind of behaviour is narcissistic.
They aren't capable of self reflection, of admiting any wrong doing, let alone aknowledging how they hurt the other person.
