This mirrors my experience with my wife, and after four years of marriage and a 4-year-old child, I've filed for divorce. She's exactly as described, leaving me feeling like nothing more than an ATM. She demands money even for small things and shows no care, especially when I’m sick. She would just leave for work without a word of kindness. Being around her constantly made me feel unwell. Now, I’m focused on moving on and winning custody of my child.

I was so fatique in the relationship. You talked about self entitlement, very true and also everything has to be revolved around them. The pattern of short term relationship is also very true. ALL the relationships that he previously has, he told me that its all his ex's fault. But when I managed to message his ex, his ex told me another story. The ex told me about his pattern when she was with him, and i realised its the same pattern that I experienced during the relationship. Your video confirms that I did the right thing of ending it. For those who are not sure what they are dealing with, I'd like to confirm that those signs can be very subtle. So, its more about if they are continuously there. When I listened to this list, after I've been in at least three relationships with narcissist, I must say each sign was not strictly present but sort of present. However, it would be there even years later. It would never go away or change.

i actually chuckled when one of the signs was "they're obsessed with their appearance". my narcissistic ex showered 3-4 times a day and made fun of me constantly for "never showering". he took hours to curate appropriate outfits and would scorn me for the things i wore. he would wear sport coats and button-down shirts with khakis just to come to my apartment to hang out. "look babe, i wear suits every day". great! i wear sweatpants! hahaha
btw, he displayed all of these other signs too, but that one really is him in a nutshell!!

1) Love Bombing, my reaction: I do this. Am I a narcissist!?
By 9:21, I'm getting triggered (from what my ex used to do to me) several of points ramping up to the point I need to stop watching.

I don't know if I still do the love bombing part anymore. I used to just over-idealized women, and I was young and an idealistic romantic, and then feel crushed when reality set in. I was in love with love more than other people. I still tend to not be interested in dating a person unless I already feel head-over-heels for that person. At the same time, I was a very empathetic person, but after that relationship and having a narcissistic mother, I got burnt out. It's hard to open up and trust someone with your vulnerability when they charm themselves back into your good graces only to use it against you, or play the victim only to make your life hell or to feel like you are never heard or what you want is unimportant and what they say is the only smart or practical point of view, when you are literally dying inside.
And yet, I still find myself asking have I developed narcissistic tendencies out of self-defense? And how do I come back from that?
