If there's one good field to learn from Mormons, it's probably PR.

I find it kind of hilarious that the black student gets approached by missionaries so much. Every Mormon I've known was a lovely person, but you can tell that there's a pretty serious savior complex that underlies the missionary work.

WAIT WHY would people think she's going there to drink and party...??? That's the exact opposite of what I would think she was going there for

When I was a teenager, I was considering going to Snow College (BYU Jr.) and did a weekend excursion on campus. A girl asked if I was Mormon and I said no. She then asked me if I smoked pot. Needless to say, I left that weekend never to return.

"I'm a non mormon at byu"
Oh?
"I'm a Christian who likes hanging out with people who have the same values"

Interesting that the black girl gets approached to convert repeatedly. What does that say about perceptions of race within LDS? Or within UT?

Why are we all getting this recommended just now

Damn, suggested by YT 8 years later? Mormons really stepping up their recruitment game

I'll never convert to Mormonism, but Provo looks to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. And every Mormon I've met was very friendly and sincere.

I went on a date with a Mormon girl in the 80s. My parting gift at the end of the date? A Book of Mormon...
Even better, I was pulled over by a cop driving home from the date, and he was really hassling me. Shining a flashlight in my face, and then into the car. It stopped abruptly when it landed on the Book of Mormon lying on the passenger seat, and his attitude immediately changed. He lightly scolded me for my expired registration, and sent me on my way... I kept that Book of Mormon in my glove box for years!

This was so cool to watch because I'm not even Mormon, but I thought BYU was only for LDS members! Super cool that they're open to having non members attend!

I used to live there and was always surrounded by Mormons some were nice and pleasant but most thought you were beneath them if you weren’t Mormon. They also portray a sorta “fake nice” where it’s all smiles but secretly judge you. I would say at least over 50 percent come off as perfect Mormons but then are drinking and partying on the weekends in salt lake then back to church on Sunday. Also forget about going to BYU if you are lgbt because if they see you or hear about you having relations with the same sex you will be kicked out. Oh and also not much diversity either with about 85-90% white.

I wonder what the Algorithm's purpose of recommending this to us was.

As a non-Mormon, I would like to give thanks to the LDS for their work in collecting, transcribing, and indexing genealogical records and making them readily available. I understand BYU students do a lot of the actual labor.
