My mother was a physically abusive very controlling communal narcissist. Of course she had to tell me the moment she had this done in the temple. Since she'd never asked for anyone's forgiveness for the abuse she doled out to us over the years I just kind of laughed at it. I have never heard of this before. There is no such thing as a free pass for sin. I don't know if she even knows what she is talking about. I hear so much stuff about the LDS church that is not true.

Years ago a military sgt invited a group of us young guys on post to his house for big spaghetti supper with all the trimmings. We went, ate up, enjoyed, even offered to help clean up. Were told all was good & to relax in living room. A few minutes later two "missionaries" came to door, came in, gave spiel about "one true church". This reminded me of Am..y or timeshare sales hook. Most of us were either protestant, a few Catholic.
We avoided this sgt as much as possible, it was never brought up again. We did not like trickery of a cult.
