To answer the most common question: yes, I am still married to the same handsome man. About to celebrate 8 years and we have two sons 💕

I remember when I left Mormonism at 21 and I had a beer and felt so free cause I didn't give a single F*ck about what my parents said 😂😂

I LOVE TO SEE PEOPLE LIVING THE FREEDOM THAT WE ALL DESERVE ❤️

People don't get that even the smallest control we get to reclaim over our bodies feels like a chain being broken and weights lifted from us. They tried so hard to control every part of us and asserting our own autonomy is breathing again. Congratulations, sis!

One of my closest friends is leaving the church and we had a talk where I told her she’s still allowed to have a walk with God and he still loves her and she broke down sobbing because the church had always told her if she wasn’t Mormon she was basically nothing and it broke my heart

I love how you learnt to not only feel comfortable in your own skin but embrace what you liked and what you wanted to wear, it’s great to see you just simply loving what you’ve been blessed with

I love the evolution of your smile… It went from looking forced to looking natural and vibrant and there’s even a renewed energy in your eyes… I don’t know you, but I love this for

This is my favorite type of glow up. In your pictures from getting the first tattoo onwards you are glowing from happiness while in the one as a teacher you look like you're about to cry. Reminds me of my photos as a kinda strict catholic pre quarantine through my glow up in 2022 when I started to deconstruct all that crap and gotten mental help n moved to a more diverse area.

My mom and I are both going through our transitions of leaving the church right now. It is really crazy to see yourself in a crop top (😱) and feeling confident and think “wow I was really taught this was bad”. It’s comforting to see someone else share their experience ❤

You were always beautiful. But what got more beautiful after was your smile. 😊 You can tell that there is a major difference.

i lived in utah(mormon central) for 12 years as a mormon and moved away later, and realized how much the church had made me be ashamed of what i looked like and how i felt. good for you girl

edit: fun arguments, fun arguments. i understand that not all mormons are bad, there’s always some good people, but i’m a bisexual woman who was in the church, which said church is homophobic AND sexist so you can see where that went wrong there lol. it’s pretty cult-like

Ex JW here. Different religions but the transition period is pretty similar for most people leaving these kind of groups. So happy to see your transition and being your authentic self. Just your facial expression alone in the photos says it all! It's the best feeling ❤️

I think it's really crazy to see how comfortable you look on your face. The more carefree you are, the bigger your smile and the happiness reaches your eyes. 😊

I love that you have embraced the 🍄 activities. Those have helped me in my journey more than I can ever say. So glad they've brought some clarity to you, too. And thank you for making a platform for others to work through their spiritual traumas. I know that isn't the only, or even the main thing, but I appreciate you giving the mention!

Good for you girl!! I was raised Mormon & got out at around 25 for good..my youngest sister just got out at age 40! So now all 5 of us kids are With that said, the mental dismantling & reprogramming is no joke for years to come. You’d be surprised how deeply it’s embedded in the subconscious…in ways you can’t even imagine. The key is to become hyper self aware & just keep working on it! Thanks for sharing this with us🥰
