My left knee keeps flairing up despite my injury of dislocating it back in December 2023. I for the most part can stand again like normal and do the majority of things like grocery shop independently, cook, clean, etc. I still can't fully walk down the stair nor up the stair completely a result of how my quad feels like it's weak especially going down like it can't hold my entire body momentum and essentially collapse unlike like in the past it was nothing earlier 2023. Don't have access to a gym and trying to get creative working at home and was thinking of picking this up to do what I can bodyweight only and eventually work on descending a flight of stairs along with pain free knee extension along with no knee cap catching when relaxing. Would you recommend using the floss as a smart modified way to "trick" the body into letting me just move more for reps to get that quality work in while enhancing the final areas of injury that have been left over which didn't quite fully heal?

Interesting. I have some knee wear and tear so I ordered some wrestling knee pads for mobility work on my knees. They are a little bit too small.
My workout today was pain free and I even hit the heavy bag and did a few rounds of wrestling shots (for the first time in 2 years).
I guess the compression has a lot to do with it.

Hello.

I'm new to this channel & was recommended to come here by a friend.

13 years ago I injured by new left knee, had an MRI & the result was Hoffas Syndrome (fat pad impingement). After many physio sessions with no results I ran out of money & stopped trying to resolve the issue.

All these years later I am left with a knee cap that dosen't track properly. If I bend my knee back & forth heaps it slowly moves into the groove followed by a loud popping noise. However it slowly moves it's way back out.

Do you have any advice for exercises? I have extremely tight hamstrings & have read that muscle imbalances can contribute to this problem.

Flossing helps with flexion post surgery and lymphatic drainage. Great plug here

I have Chondramalacia and was wondering if something like this would help me still squat and deadlift with less flare ups....The general guidelines are to not do any of that stuff and do elliptical....I want to continue to lift even with this diagnosis.

Love your stuff. I've subscribed to the app. I add zero knees workouts at the end of my strength training sessions. Definitely a big help. My knees hurt so bad I couldn't jog or even press the clutch in my car. Now i'm sprinting, running stairs and jumping again with confidence.

In my opinion, even if you can load the knee pain-free with split squats, the floss bands are still great as a warm-up and mobilizer before getting into the more challenging exercises of the workout. I have PFPS, so I am hesitant to add pressure directly to the patellofemoral joint, but I use one band above and one band below the knee. The difference it makes is incredible, so I may never stop using them!

Should this be used on an ankle that was operated 6 months ago and lacking some dorsiflexion?

I'm Australian and I've recently upset my knee, pain in the back of my knee. Found Ben's videos but can't afford to pay for the knee program so I've just been doing his exercises that I've seen other people do and go from there. Let's hope I'm not hurting myself instead of healing by doing this.

Thanks Ben. Key thing i struggle with is that knee permanently has inflammation/fluid around it which prevents me squatting at lower ranges. Is there anything you've personally tried or know of to help remove this?

Hi you had sent me this link about flossing. I am a professional dancer. With me grinding but no pain however I did have any surgery on one knee that is doing okay. I use KT tape everyday for work and of course when I have shows do not wear it when not needed. For the flossing exercises must you wrap your knee or can you do it without? And when you are doing the deep knee pens while holding onto the pole is all your weight in the heels or is it distributed through the entire foot? Or should I just concentrate on what looks like to me 45° bend to 45° unbend?

Hey there! Do you need to wrap your knee or is the main focus getting your hip deeper to the ground. Thanks, I have been trying to atg split squat will proper form for more than a year, and I will succeed!

I've got a small 5mm tear in my meniscus. Squats are okay, but can't go past parallel.
Any ideas to stabilize while I recover and rebuild would be great.

I thought the patella should be uncovered and allowed to move freely?
