Had both knees TKR in 2019, 8 months apart. Totally happy, worth it 100%. Got a life back, and pain free. Take the rehab seriously, stretch , stretch stretch! Get as much bend back as you can while it's healing .

I had my surgery 28 days ago. The wound has healed real good. Sometimes when I wake up in the morning I forget I have a knee to take care of. I can now manage to walk indoors without the walker. Thanks to my phisical therapist. But most of all, I guess I had the best surgeon and his team. Now we need to start planning another surgery on the other knee. But first, I have to loose at least 20lbs.

I am just healing from TKR 1st December on my right leg.
So painful but I'm hoping it's only temporary and that I'll be able to walk pain free. Hope to get TKR on the other leg next year.

Had a TKR four years ago.first month after surgery was tough.took me a year to get back to feeling normal.I am back to playing hockey and skiing, best part is that I am pain free.

Had left knee replaced since age of 50. First time lots of staples and didn't go well. Second time much better device and I feel great. Dr said to come back at age 82 to replace, but I am 75 and not do it again. This was same Doctor for both.

My mom’s post op 2 week check up is when they took hers off. She had this exact dressing. It’s a Dermabind Preneo Skin Closure System and it combines 2-octyl cyanoacrylate with a self-adhering polyester-based mesh. They superglue the incision. Hers came open at the top and got wet but it was fine. She accidentally scratched it. No seepage or infection.

I had TKR on both my knee's with in space of a year.. It took a year for my 1st knee to heal but I still have a little pain in it.. I had a post DVT on my 2nd knee surgery which I had six wks ago..both knee's was stapled after surgery.. Having the surgery was the best thing I've ever done even tho the pain wasn't very nice at all and takes so slowly to heal but worth it 😊 sending my best wishes to anyone who is on the list and please go ahead with it all.. I had TKR on both knees at the same time at 71. I was able to walk with a walker the morning after. In addition I was able to go up and down the practice stairs in the hospital. That was nine years ago and I have pain free knees now.
