I prefer cabbage finer chopped my aftermarket choppers don't work as well as original and use sea salt much better for you than regular table salt

Plz help I made my first batch and it was so good. During fermentation I messed up cuz the air pushed itself up I must’ve forgot to burp it? Plz halp I wanna make another batch but I is SCARED. I smelled the rot and cried so hard as I dumped all that hard work into my compost 😢😢
