'Honor Killings' Trial: Investigators detail how they found Yaser Said

Investigators revealed they had a close encounter with Yaser Said while he was on the run, three years before being caught, but he got away.

A Dallas jury unanimously found Yaser Said guilty of killing his two teen daughters, Sarah and Amina Said.

Judge Chika Anyiam sentenced Said to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Prosecutors said Said, a native of Egypt, was angry that his daughters were dating and that the boys were not Muslim. They claim in a 911 call from the night of the murders, Sarah said her father was attacking her.

Said's defense attorney said he will be filing a notice to appeal.

My dad tried to murder me back in Late April of 1992 in Knoxville Tennessee. He beat me for many hours, stomped my head repeatedly, stabbed me, popped me in the face with a stun gun, put a cigarette out on my face as well, & then pulled a gun on me & forced me into the trunk of his car where he drove me out into some woods & started all over again. He was a woman abuser & I had helped his girlfriend escape, that was my guilt in his mind. He wasn't a Muslim, he was someone who used the Bible to try to get sympathy. I've never been able to fully get over it & struggled my whole life just trying to survive. When the police showed up on May 5 to get him he pulled out a gun & blew his brains out. Not only did he beat women but he was both a narcissist & a sociopath. James Donald Chandler 3/3/1954 - 5/6/1992 (the day the Dr. turned off life support.

Let me get this right: sighting at sons apartment in 2017. Rather then follow the sons whereabouts all these years Saiid stays free for Handful of years before being caught? 🙄 also they could've fingerprinted sons apt and arrested him for aiding and abetting a fugitive back in 2017 🤦‍♀️
