The prosecution laid out the timeline leading up to Said's arrest. He'd been on the run since 2008 after the shooting death of his daughters outside an Irving hotel.

A Dallas jury unanimously found Yaser Said guilty of killing his two teen daughters, Sarah and Amina Said.

Judge Chika Anyiam sentenced Said to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Prosecutors said Said, a native of Egypt, was angry that his daughters were dating and that the boys were not Muslim. They claim in a 911 call from the night of the murders, Sarah said her father was attacking her.

Said's defense attorney said he will be filing a notice to appeal.

Everybody that helped him should be sent to prison as well…

Man, the son and brother.. As disgusting as the father.
How could anyone protect someone who murdered your sisters, your nieces.. Your own blood.
If your culture gives way to putting your own humanity, moral compas, heart and soul to the side, and to deny the knowledge of right from wrong, then you must deny your culture and accept decency as your new cultural compas.
Two innocent young girls, murdered in cold blood by your father/brother and you help him evade justice? That's just sickening.

I feel like anyone who’s trying to defend him should be put on a watchlist.. if you think murder can be justified under cases like this then you’re probably not far from committing the same crime

Even in death their family disrespected the girls, the two documentary filmmakers about the story of this family said at the funeral many of their family members believed their murder was justified and that what the father did was right....these people are sick.

The "honorable" thing to do would be to dispose of him the way he "honorably" disposed of his daughters. The wife is also culpable in my opinion. Also the sons for abetting him.

I always found the case very disturbing. The girls did not want to go anywhere near that man, but the mother took them to him. She may as well have murdered them herself.

If these murders were so “honorable, ” why run away? That’s the action of someone who knows he’s done wrong- someone who is a criminal.

How embarrassing for the FBI to get a tip from a maintenance person that Yaser, after he was put on the FBI’s ten most wanted fugitives list, was living in an apartment with his SON and that they lost him because he jumped out a two-story window. And that it took an additional three years before they found him by tracking his SON’s movements. Duh!

Why aren't the two sons arrested for accessory after the fact

The mother dares to show her face?! Now that he’s caught after being on the run and killing his daughters she confronts him! She’s just as guilty as he is.

I don’t believe for a second that was a honor killing. He was just an controlling and abusive man

The family and community aided and abetted because they believe the murders were justified. The entire community should be closely watched.

It's sad that the males in the family empowered the father's behaviour. I hope people's eyes are opened now about their beliefs and what they are willing to do to enforce it.

Even though he got away for 12 years it doesn't mean you will live well you live until your time is up. When God sees you hurt his kids your time will come. RIP girls.

I’m coming close to separating myself from two relatives who threatened to take my life bc they didn’t get what they wanted. Anyone that can threaten to take your life from this earth does not have the privilege to be in your life.
