My rule of thumb with paying is: Don't make it too much of a big deal, ideally the man should pay as long as the woman is still somewhat traditional. If she offers, say you got it. If she's really really really then ok fine, but that might be a red flag.
If you're broke, don't offer to take her to fancy or expensive places that's not in your budget.
Coffee dates are good to sus out and see if they're vibing with you or not
