Her recipes are awesome! I had misplaced my Grandma's hand written vanilla cake recipe I wanted to make for my daughter's Birthday. I used hers she has on her website and it tasted so much like my Grandma's 🎂

2 Cups Flour
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon Salt
2 Tablespoons Coco Powder

2 Cups granulated Sugar
1 Cup Vegetable Oil

MIX WELL, then add
2 eggs
1 Cup Buttermilk
2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
A few drops of Red food coloring

MIX WELL then add
1 Teaspoon of White Vinegar
1/2 Cup of Hot Coffee

MIX WELL, then slowly add the dry mix to your wet batter.

Bake at 325, until a toothpick comes out clean, (I’d check it around the 25-30min mark)

If you don’t have a heart shaped pan, pour batter in a square pan and a circle pan. Diameter of circle must be equal to the side of the square. Cut circle in half and match each circle diameter to a side of the square! Equals a heart!

Was wondering when the vinegar was coming into play lol. I miss my grandmas red velvet almost as much as i miss her. It was the best red velvet I ever had. I have the recipe but im scared it wont taste the same.

This the most delicious and moist red velvet cake! The problem I have found with all red velvet cakes is they sink in the middle! NONE of my other cakes do that! I don't open the oven too early, I try not to over or under mix so I am totally stumped!
