The five simple steps to lose belly fat fast. By following these five simple yet very effective steps you'll get rid of your belly fat and have a flat stomach in the shortest amount of time possible. Now the goal of all of these steps is to lower your insulin levels and increase your glucagon levels. Insulin is a fat storage hormone that's released when your blood glucose levels rise. When you have low blood sugar there's very little insulin present in your body. On the other hand when you have high blood sugar insulin is running around like crazy storing excess glucose that can't be held by your liver or your muscles as fat. When your blood sugar drops low enough your body releases a hormone known as glucagon. Glucagon has the inverse effect of insulin and that's exactly why it's so important for burning body fat. Now unfortunately there's no way to Target fat burn so burning overall body fat is going to be the best and the most efficient way to burn belly fat. So when we decrease our blood glucose levels insulin levels plummet and glucagon acts to maintain normal blood glucose levels. The first step in doing this is a process known as glycogenolisis where glucagon stimulates the conversion of stored glycogen from the liver to glucose for your bloodstream. Glucagon will also promote the conversion of amino acids to glucose through a process known as gluconeogenesis. And the last and most important thing that it does for losing belly fat is that glucagon acts on adispose tissue to stimulate the breakdown of fat stores into the bloodstream. so the question is how do we decrease insulin levels and increase glucagon levels to prevent us from storing any more fat and instead to help us burn more fat? And the first step is to follow a low-carb diet by eliminating all processed foods simple carbohydrates and sugary beverages and in general limiting all carbs. Now low carb diet is not the only way that you can burn belly fat but it's one of the fastest ways that you can lower your insulin levels in order to burn belly fat. In one study people with metabolic syndrome were randomized to receive either a low-fat or low-carb diet containing 1500 calories. The insulin levels dropped by an average of 50 percent in the low carb group and only 19 percent in the low-fat group even though they had the same amount of calories. Carbohydrates are the most insulinogenic out of the three macronutrients protein carbs and fats. Now in general consuming fewer calories has consistently shown to increase insulin sensitivity and decrease insulin levels in overweight and obese people regardless of the type of diet that they consume. So again even though it's not the only way to do it a low-carb diet can help you deplete the glycogen in your liver and start burning fat faster. Step number two is to try fasting because not eating is by far one of the best ways to keep insulin levels at their lowest. I mean it makes sense if you're not taking it any calories your body is nothing to convert to glucose. Start off with intermittent fasting where you fast for 16 hours a day and only eat during an 8-hour time block of the day. So you might skip breakfast and instead just have lunch and dinner everyday. Fasting definitely works however be warned some people when they break their fast will be so hungry that they drastically overeat and that is going to cause a huge Spike in blood sugar and insulin levels. To the point where it might have not even been so bad if you just didn't fast. So for that reason fasting is not the answer for everyone. If you're the type of person that gets uncontrollably hungry when you fast and then you binge eat after the fast you may be better off spreading out your meals into small portions throughout the day and just sticking to a low-carb diet. However like I said I would definitely give it a shot because there's nothing out there that can lower your insulin levels the way that fasting can. The third step is to begin exercising consistently and regularly. I always like to use the gas tank example with this one imagine that your body's gas tank the fuel that it runs off of is glycogen. And every time you eat your refilling that gas..

Gotta stop saying "simple and fast." People quit because they think "this is harder than it should be". Gotta acknowledge that it's hard and that's ok.

I've lost about 90 lbs in the last 3 or 4 years by one control.
I eat about half of what I used to and keep myself hydrated with I'm rarely hungry.
I went from a high of 320 to 230 today. I'm 6'0" tall.
My ultimate goal is about CONSISTANT and stick with it, you WILL lose weight.

I’m not a big guy by any means. Im decently strong and I decided that I wanted to lose a bit of weight off of my body as I looked a bit heavy. Just started fasting 3 months ago and I’ve already lost 25 pounds and gone down a belt loop and a half. Fasting has honestly helped me lose so much weight

I'm a 28 year old male who got diagnosed with diabetestype 1, 5 (it's like type 2, but it'll become type 1 later if i'm not careful) 2 years ago. Watching this vid made me realize that i was actually following these steps without knowing the facts, and as a supplental comment on all this, i wanna say that THIS IS COMPLETELY TRUE! I changed my diet to low carb's, had to fast between breakfast and dinner (8-10 hours) and changed my sleep cycle from morning to evening. i lost 35 kg's in less that 2-3 months, and now i'm down to 2-digits (99 kg :P). I switched all my drinks to water, all tea and coffee i would drink would be without sugar, and now my tastebuds can't even handle slightly sweetened foods or drinks. i can tell immidiately if there is sugar involved in foods or drinks. My number one sin i still make, is drinking, but i''m making sure i'm sticking with "pure" alcohiol like vodka and whiskey, not mixing with anything but icecubes. My point is: Effing great vid, i just discovered you, and imma subscribe right now! Peace

Fasting is the best way to do it. I am Muslim and in the month of Ramadan we fast 19 hours a day where we don’t even have a sip of water. Because you’re depriving your body from food and water for so long I am forced to eat healthy and stay away from sugars to conserve energy and believe me in the first week alone, you lose over 5 pounds and by end of the month you are down at least 20 pounds. To me, i love the aftermath of the month of Ramadan. Your body goes thru one hell of a nutritional boot camp that for the few months that follow, you just have this energy and mental clarity all the time. I would definitely suggest fasting it is very tough but your body will thank you for it

I have cut weight so many different ways and my experience is as long as I am eating good healthy food, eat the same amount of calories while in a deficit, eat the same amount of protein and weight train to maintain muscle, it doesn't matter one bit if I IF, low carb, not low carb, eat throughout the day instead of IF The fat all comes off about the same.

I started doing that 16:8 intermittent fasting, aside from it just being good for you, I actually noticed myself feeling better, breathing better and sleeping better because of it.

This is what is keeping me from breaking from this, the weight looks like it's coming down bit by bit ( I am doing some exercise ) but the feeling alone has been worth it thus far.

Aside from the breathing and feeling that I noticed, I use to use sugar with my coffee, at least a teaspoon and a half.

Now? I tried coffee with sugar and I swear, I did not like it at all. I'm now drinking coffee without sugar and just milk. I use to get disgusted from this, and now I'm drinking it. Crazy.

I also use to eat cookies with milk, and I don't even find the time to do that now because I'll wait for the meals instead. Another big plus.

I'm pretty sure that most people misunderstand the term "belly fat". It is not the fat on your belly. It is the underlying fatty area called the greater and lesser omentum. The omentum is a flap of tissue resembling an apron that is positioned under your abdominal muscles and covers your intestines. The fat that accumulates in the omentum is known as visceral fat as compared to subcutaneous fat which forms ON your belly, hips and thighs. Omental fat is very much related to the stress hormone cortisol and all of its causes, including caffeine and stress itself.

I like how you not only say "Do This", "Do That", you also explain the "What" and "Why" behind the process. You mix together simple language with the scientific terms (which you explain). This makes it easy to understand, while at the same time teaches me the proper terms to use.
It helps to understand what is going on with my body as I am working towards a healthier lifestyle. Thank you.
I'm now subscribed to your channel 💕
