My personal tips for anxiety (dealt with it for many years) is 1) Eliminate caffeine as much as possible 2) Set boundaries, learn to say "no" a lot more and without guilt 3) Slow down a lot, do things half the speed but be mindful 4) Practice mindfulness, I used the book called 30 Days to Reduce Anxiety by Harper Daniels, it was simple and effective 5) Get out in nature as much as possible and in silence.

My last therapist used to always make me state:

•What do you hear?
•What do you smell?
•What do you feel?
•What do you taste?
•What do you see?

These were in no particular order. It was helpful when I was feeling an anxiety attack building up inside.

Is it true that if someone has genetically inherited Anxiety would never heal?!, I was told that perfectionists such as myself will always have difficulty copping with their Anxiety and that only a medical regime will allow me to live a normal life.
It is also worth to say that I am constantly trying to overcome this without medication although I gotta say it's freaking tough!

I find hypnosis guided affirmations (eg Enhanced, Paul McKenna, Sarah Raymond meditations on YouTube), singing, and decluttering/getting organised help ease my horrible anxiety and start to plan and act.

you can't feel anxiety when you sing and dance to your favourite music. and the most anxiety reducing music for me is reggae/dancehall
