For me, The instant cure for anxiety is to understand the fact that there are infinite amount of possible outcomes in this universe and our brain only thinks of a handful . A bad outcome can become the means of a good outcome in the future. Just like that a good outcome can become the means of a bad outcome. For example, you lost your job (bad thing). But then you got a new job which is better ( bad thing led to a good outcome.) It's an endless cycle. So just go with the flow and don't think about it . 😄 Goodluck.

Social media is an ugly trap. I deleted all of mine over a year ago and find that I my social life is more active and fulfilling now! I work with college students and always remind them that the social media trap is about you comparing your worst to someone else's best (if what they are posting is even true.) Thanks for the reminders - it really is that simple to feel good!

I didn't believe it before but social media really is sooo bad to mental health. I was so obsessed with twitter and after taking a break i felt so good and happier and i don't use it at all now. Same for other social media platforms. It really feels so nice and free.

Reduce caffeine intake. I have an on again off again relationship with coffee, because on one hand I want to sleep all the time (depression). But on the other hand too much caffeine definitely worsens my anxiety and irritability.

Allow yourself some time to recover from the emotional pain…let your body and your soul to heal…be patient…emotional pain is real and the best medicine for it, is time…When you get hurt physically, you need time for recovery same with your soul…the recovery depends on the degree of the hurting and your strength of coping…sometimes it might take longer…Just remember, this too shall pass!

My therapist advised me to go into nature for healing my anxiety. I started hiking last months and having completed 3 hiking trips really helped in increasing my distress tolerance because problems seem to fade when I was concentrating hard on making it out alive from the mountains 😅. Nature really help me being calm and centred

Anxiety and sleep are challenging. One trick I learned, was not to be too worried if I have a or couple bad nights. It is distressing, but not dangerous (there are exceptions to this). If there is no pressure in my head that "I have to sleep" then I relax more. If I am counting the minutes, it becomes a distraction. I feel more comfortable talking to a MD who is either a psychiatrist or a sleep specialist if the problem is extreme.

What if you can't sleep because of the anxiety, your diet is affected as you can't put enough effort to planning and preparing food, you have no energy to meet and talk to people, your exercise routine is affected and you don't recover fast afterwards because you can't sleep. You do have hobbies but you have to choose between work and doing hobbies as you have the energy to barely do one... anyone knows a video that might help with that?

I feel like the problem is, when you're feeling anxious and / or depressed, you naturally question whether that more "ideal" way of life is actually is more "ideal." The uncertainty is difficult to overcome for some, especially when you happen to be very susceptible to psychological framing / set and setting.

The most important thing for me is and was being able to accept myself and what I've been going through and where I'm at currently without resisting anything and from a different view it's easier to let things go and become happier and more stable along with moving out to a new house/environment in my case.

Ok I’ll be honest. As an autoimmunie trying to manage chronic fatigue, almost all of these are a big issue. When flares hit, the ability to sleep, excercise and socialise are the first things that go. Anxiety, depression and inability to concentrate or keep up with hobbies follow shortly behind. I fully understand that these are all linked and the important thing is to break the vicious cycle. But where to start.... ?
