can you just gut the DPF and leave it without remapping?

Gut the DPF and get DPF delete carried out in the ECU. It DOESNT need to be remapped, the DPF delete takes less than 15 minutes! Without DPF you will have more power, better fuel economy, and more reliable.

One other thing people may have forgotten about. the SCR will sense the soot and still throw a code or even go into limp mode at some point.

Wouldn’t it fail the MOT if you did that?

Or just replace the DPF and fix whatever it was that caused it to get blocked in the first place. I was hesitant to get a DPF equipped car. But 120k (now on 220k) later, no issues whatsoever.

You got to try and clean the dpf first surely but if that don’t work then you may have too do the delete.

do you have to remap a car if the dpf is removed cleaned/flushed and replaced ? Thanks for your time

What's the easiest way you can you tell if you've bought a second hand car and the previous owner has has the dpf removed and remapped. Can you see when you plug a diagnostic in for dpf live data at all? What would it show

I’ve gutted my dpf from a berlingo van and it’s been running beautifully without any warning lights much faster and zero issues. I haven’t mapped anything out or anything

Perhaps you could differentiate “dpf high” with “ dpf low” electronically @ the sensors without the expense of a re map ?

The problem is you have to make all because if you make one it will cause problem in car

Can the vehicle still pass an MOT after? I genuinely despise DPF filters but its the only reason i leave mine in

Bought my kia with a problem that it makes a cumulus nimbus for 10 minutes every 120 miles . Found no dpf inside .
3 attempts at remaps later, problems resetting check sum and eprom . Now I just get an exhast smell after a mile for a few seconds then all is good .
So it's not perfect but gets good mpg and good power all be it a bit smokey at full power.
It's made it useable. It was the cheapest option for this old car and perhaps the only way to fix it . but I wouldn't really reccomend it if you have a nice car you like .

If you remap ECU and gut DPF do you still need to use the manufacturer advised low soot/ash oil, or can you now use the best fully synthetic oil?

Do you do remapping and if yes what vehicles

It would be nice to have a pressure-sensor-clone that says everything is okay with the dpf. It’s just a simple voltage value. Could we start this business idea together? (;.

Just drill the middle out with two inch masonry drill bit and leave 80 % of the dpf in

Is the MOT a failure? That’s the real question after this …

My car has a stage 1 map. With the dpf in place and still performing regens. Could you please explain what you meant when you said you can’t remap with the dpf still in place ?
