wow. this video was fascinating as usual. i was really surprised about how most people are more satisfied when they trust their gut feeling in making decisions. I'm going to try doing that more often :)

I always thought of gut feelings as instincts. I've only felt it a couple times. I was in a gas station and something told me to get out now. I immediately dropped my stuff and left as quick as I could. The place was robbed right after and 2 people were killed. You'll know the feeling if you ever feel it

I really loved this video but "gut feelings" should be called what they are: Heuristics. Heuristics may be faster at identifying patterns but they can be fooled in really interesting ways. It would have been cool if you went deeper into some of the faults as to why these fail.

I was told that while taking a multiple choice test, you should go with your first instinct. I learned this after I failed the test.
