Welcome to day 5 of the 30 Day Improvers Yoga Challenge. Today's 30 min yoga flow works toward wheel pose and wheel pose variations.

No need to worry if that sounds intimidating! This challenge is all about teaching you how to progress towards these poses, so there will be plenty of options to help you modify and work to your level.

In today's class we work through a strong warm-up to prepare you for backbends. Each sequence builds on the next to build heat in the body and prepare you to work into wheel.

I hope you enjoy day 5 of the challenge.

Thanks Charlie, very pleased to be able to do wheel for the first time (albeit could only hold the pose briefly). Enjoying the 30 day challenge. (Btw, I’m 62).

A tough class for me today. Wheel has always been a challenge, so I tend to avoid it. I loved the progression! Thank you for your inspiration. See you tomorrow.

Wow this challenge really makes me SWEAT! I feel my limits being pushed every day and already feel myself getting stronger 💪🏻 this practice felt super intentional, and though wheel was always available to me, today I felt extremely strong and grounded, and I felt really connected to my body. Thank you Charlie!! Can't wait for day 6 ❤

I'm beginning again on day 5, after a busy spring in the garden that kicked my booty! It feels so imperative to stretch and strengthen my amazing body. I say "amazing" because of the hard work it was able to do, long hours of shifting earth and planting seed...pulling weeds and digging. With the proper nutrition, my body was regenerating even while breaking down. Embrace what your amazing body is able to do, my fellow Charlie Follows yogis! Thank you, Charlie, for being the most accessible teacher I have found here. I will definitely keep supporting you on into the future❤

You're such a fantastic teacher! You break poses down into manageable bits that make everything fall into place easily. I honestly felt so proud of myself for being able to lift one leg off the ground in wheel (albeit not far off the ground) but I've never been able to do that in my 35 years! I am so chuffed and sweaty 😂 your teaching is unmatched and I'm loving this new challenge so far. Thankyou so much Charlie for making me feel confident in myself ❤

Wheel proper scares me and is a struggle just to get to balance on my head so this progression is great to build confidence and strength gradually. Thanks.

Wow Charlie, I can feel my body falling softly into the postures for first time after years.
What a beautiful sensation.
And could back bend holding on my head. I didn't think I could do that at all!

Was able to do wheel from bridge pose, first time ever thanks to your excellent cues and teaching Charlie! I was feeling a little intimidated going in but I should know by now to trust in your process

Wow….challenging for sure 😅 I need another yoga mat. One that is less “sticky”.. Can’t turn my hands around in wild thing 😂 Managed wheel from the bridge position so I’m very pleased regardless 👍😄 Thanks so much sweet Charlie and have a beautiful evening ❤️

I don’t know if I’ll ever get the wheel. My body doesn’t seem to bend that way. How do you get so strong Charlie? Feeling pretty discouraged today. Thank you for being such a great teacher!!
