What are the signs your nose is broken?

You look one way and it points another.

It stopped bleeding but really hurts. If you blow your nose and the whole thing wiggles, not just your nostrils.

Or it could be a deviated septum.

One sign of a broken nose is blocked nasal passages that don’t drain or clear. That’s from the swelling of a broken bone.

Or a really bad allergy attack. Or it may be a bruise.

If the swelling is bad after something hits you in the face, the nose could look bent or broken even if it wasn’t because it looks out of shape. But if it still hurts and out of shape after a few days, go to a doctor.

I don’t think they put casts on your nose. At least, I’ve never seen one.

It might be splints up your nose or a tape thing on the bridge. Depends on where it was broken or how.

I’ve heard of people breaking a nose when someone hits them in the face.

A hard enough blow can break the cheek bones, too. But a broken nose can cause swelling in the cheeks, too, if it is broken around the bridge.

If that happens too many times or in several places, you get a flattened nose.

Or, what they really ought to put in drug related public service announcements, the flat and collapsed nose from people snorting cocaine too often. In that case, it just dissolves the supporting tissue and it falls down.

That’d definitely scare more people straight than this is your brain, this is your brain on drugs.

Now you could just have a broken septum, where the nostrils are divided. That looks like a deviated septum, but it is really something broken.

How do they fix it?

Surgery, I think. But in any case, if you think you have a broken nose, go to the doctor.

so i do gymnastics and i was doing a skill that went from the high bar to the low bar but smashed my face and caught it with the bottom part of my nose and it was bleeding too, now it hurts on the sides of my nose too but it isn't bruised. i dont tend to bruise a lot when breaking stuff though.

i hit my nose on a hard pole when i turned the corner from school, i let it hurt, and years later, i always had a bone on the top of my nose but i wonder what it is, i dk if it's from the incident or naturally, but i never really had a nose bridge .
