The amount of times my mom has made me cry and said “I’ll do better” and yet never made an effort to change

You never forget how people treat you especially someone as important as a Mother (Parent/Caregiver/Guardian).

Yes, I capitalize Mother because it's significant!...🧐.

Any who...I remember telling my Mother how she made me feel and how her behavior came across. She looked at me, laughed and scoffed saying, "Your feelings hurt because you allowed them to" and arrogantly walked off with a smirk and nose in the air.

I had the opportunity to tell her again in recent past, and she still hasn't taken accountability or changed, giving the same response/excuse (well it was done to me). To stop me from hurting and grieving over the offensive "toxic Mother", I distance myself and my minor children to focus on healing, so I don't unintentionally repeat that generational curse. I tried saving my oldest daughter, but it was too late. I still tried though even though I struggled I needed her to know I hadn't given up on her. All I can do at this point is metaphorically keep a door open. When she's ready, maybe she'll find me and we can repair our relationship.

In the meantime, I continue to heal so my wounds don't infect any more of my children or any relationships of any kind. ❤️‍🩹🤕

My mom used to tell me I was clingy to guys I dated. I see now that I wasn't. But her saying that so many times made me afraid to bother anyone. Still today, I will not call or text first, I always double check my bf really wants me to come along when we go somewhere and even when people have told me to get ahold of them, I won't.
