Is Baptism Necessary for Salvation?

Let’s get right to it - is (water) baptism necessary for salvation? Do you need to be baptized to go to heaven? Those are the questions in focus today.

DOWNLOAD 'THE MYSTERY BEHIND MOTIVATION' NOW!

In short, no, not according to scripture, and we even brought a little Billy Graham baptism action into the mix to help us.

I mean, when it comes to the baptism meaning and purpose, in relation to baptism and salvation, it’s really important to remember that it’s all about the gospel. If our baptism testimony is an outward expression of inward transformation, then it is most certainly a great thing, but I don’t think it’s a necessary thing.

And, let’s not forget what did Jesus say about baptism? Well, the fact that he forgave the unbaptized thief on the cross of his sins minutes before his own death indicates that the answer to the question, ‘Is baptism required for salvation?’ must be no.

Well said and done and dead on! Outward action, to show and declare what Christ has done for you. It is a declaration of Jesus saving and making us his own

Mark 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

I agree and say Nay! I was baptized, when I was young, and have nothing against it, but now consider myself more spiritual than “religious”. The quality of the life you live is more important! Thanks for another entertaining video Jim!!

Totally agree, not necessary, but a great way to make it public.

Hi James! First time watching one of your videos and it was great! Loved the way how you broke down this topic! This subject has been following me around ever since I became Christian and I’m glad you spoke about it in such a joyful and pleasing way. 😁 I agree with everything you said. Amen brother!

I think this one of the most biggest obstables for people comparing other religions. All other religions about man trying to reach out to God. Christianity is God reaching out to man. No one can get to Heaven but through HIM.

Yep... you got it right! It's just an outward expression. It is a symbol of our old life dying and a new life beginning... just a symbolic action. Great video!

I love how you bring the "LIGHT" to topics that can be a bit heavy. I feel that if it is in your heart to be baptized then that's a direct connection to God. Baptize out of Love not Fear 💗😇💗

Paul was talking about the people saying their Baptism was more important, because Paul did, it over other Apostles. You are taking it out of Context.

Everyone who was saved in the New Testament, followed their Baptism. Even Paul was not saved until AFTER he was Baptized. Baptism DOES SAVE YOU. 1 Peter 3:20-21 reads 20 who formerly were disobedient, [a]when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water. 21 There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

I love the photo of you being Baptized. You looked so happy! And I love that you did it as an adult, when you were in the space of truly believing. Thanks for making these serious topics so fun!

Great question & approach... hahaha invoking the name of Billy Graham! 🤣

Our church culture made a decision to celebrate every step and milestone on a persons journey with Christ.

We made up our minds to posture what we “get to have” rather than what we “have to get”
