you can add a +"%" at the end of your function, and no need for another text and will be connected to the numbers.
like this:
Math.round(effect("Slider Control")("Slider"))+"%"

You can also attach the expression pick whip to the "End" of the Trim Path you just made in the bar, so the percentage and the speed (ease) would be the same. You don't need to add a slider.
