This is so excellent! I was just discarded by my husband of 31 years without warning as my mother was leaving this world. Any observant person would see his timing was no But she and I got to spend her last 3 weeks on this Earth in peace. There is peace in Christ. I just buried my beloved mother a few days ago. My heart is aching. I am trying to find the spiritual treasures amid the ruins of my marriage and life without my dear mother. There is a literal spiritual war going on all around us ... My husband of 17 years, (together for 24), Everything was my fault. I was the problem, I needed help, I needed therapy. Every time I suggest, couples counseling with our church. He would say he doesn't need it, I'm the problem. Gaslighting, manipulating,
emotionally abusive, verbally abusive, threatened to leave
I was the only one trying to improve our marriage. I know God didn't design marriage to be how my husband treated me.

One of the many bonuses of getting older and relying on the intuition that God has given us, is toxic people are easier to spot. It becomes easier as you get older to call them out and not allowing them in to your space or more importantly your mind. I find God gives me the strength to stand up to them and the humbleness to pray for them.
