Ive been tracking my calories for years now, so here are some calorie tracking tips PART 2 🍱
1️⃣ Backup protein
- I always make sure to have cooked or uncooked protein as back up
- Either marinated or plain
- Super convenient when you need extra protein to hit your protein targets
- Really helps lower the chances of spilling over your calories and cheating
2️⃣ Meal prep
- One of the main reasons why people don't hit their calories for the day is that they're not prepared
- At least meal prepping half your meals is more than enough, then for example if you get home, you can cook something different
- Helps plan your day and puts your calories and macros in a better position
- Saves you money in the long run
- Teaches you to cook
- Gives you back up meals
3️⃣ Food scanner
- Most food apps have this function
- Scans barcode to give you nutritional information of food
- Time saving
- Just make sure to double check the food you scanned and make sure it matches the nutritional label as sometimes it will be incorrect
