I'd say don't take anyone who cheats back. Even if they are 1000٪ remorseful and truly never will do it again, they made a choice to betray you and hurt you. Remember, it was a CHOICE. They weren't forced.

The reason you don’t take them back is because there is something inherently wrong with their mindset. Not just the cheating. Mine lied too easily. It was the ability to lie repeatedly and not care is the reason I didn’t take her back. That will say more about the person than the cheating by itself. They are capable of much worse. Leave them to their own demons. They are no longer your problem. Sad but true

Things will never be the way before. This is one of those things that once the damage is done, it's irreversible. You can never trust that person the way you did before he or she was unfaithful. I don't see how it can truthfully work or be healthy for either party after that. Due to that reasoning, I say no. Once a cheater, always a cheater. A leopard doesn't change its spots. They wanted to be out and single so badly, they got it. No getting back together.

I say give them a chance to redeem. There are people who aren’t regretful or want to change. However there are people who are truly regretful and needed to change their mind state and heal trauma and can be forgiven. It’s not an easy road but it’s an option. It’s valid to break it off completely and it’s also valid to forgive. Good luck people.
