Using The Outlook Web App As A Desktop App

If you are like millions of others who work daily using Outlook, you likely use the desktop client. You might have it in the start menu or pinned to your taskbar and just leave it open throughout the day. You might also combine that with using the outlook web app (OWA) and likely find there are some features there that are quite frankly just better than in the desktop version. For me, I have a couple of things that annoy me about the desktop version and sometimes end up with both options open.

I like being able to close browsers to focus but still want quick access to my emails. Any of this sound familiar? Then you need to start using the Outlook Web App truly as an app and not by opening a browser! Let's check it out. It's so easy but not that obvious it even exists.

I've been trying to figure out Outlook PWA and you made it so simple! Wow! Thanks for doing away with all the fluff.

I love this! I had no idea we could launch a website as an app like this. There are so many features in OWA that I like, and this makes it a far better experience.

Thanks for sharing, Megan!

Amazing. Does this same feature work for Word, Excel, PowerPoint and etc. Also I was wondering if there is a way to open a microsoft document from the desktop in the web app?

I didn't know this but will certainly set it up tomorrow as I much prefer an app to the browser

I would like to use the Outlook web version, but then I can no longer do a mail merge. Can I use both a desktop and a web account? Possibly under a different email address. Love de video.

I've been using PWA for a couple of months now and love it - especially the snooze function. But miss having 'Quick Steps' and I have problems setting up recurring appointments. But on the whole, so much more functionality than the old desktop app... <3

Thank you. I currently use ON 2016 (desktop version) and have avoided the online version because I don’t think I can configure it the same. If I do what show above, will it look and perform the same as ON2016? Also, will I be able to. Transfer all of my ON 2016 data to the app version? Thanks for the tip.
