Yes, but first you need money to get into a house. To fix credit, reduce debt, down payment, closing cost etc. Also, you are competing with ppl in the state, ppl coming from outside the state and developers. If the area has been gentrified already, good luck. Which leaves areas that haven’t experience gentrification yet or they are currently going through the process.
