There’s a healthy level of attraction where it’s like “oh he’s cute” but when he speaks about God, has sound doctrine, and demonstrate to be a man of God, he just becomes soooo attractive.

The problem is that It shouldn’t rely solely on physical attraction because there will always be someone more handsome than them and our physical state doesn’t stay the same forever. I want to have a relationship so founded on God that I will still love that person no matter what happens to their physical state.

You want to look for that person that loves you for you, for who you are.

I think all dating should start off in a friendly mindset, and we should not meet people under the circumstance that we are looking to enter a relationship.

Dating should be taken more seriously. If you're just 'dating for fun', you might hurt the other person, or end up pursuing the 'perfect person' with incredibly high standards. If you want to date someone, do it with the intention of maybe marrying them some day

You should be attracted to someone emotionally, spiritually and physically. If you lack the attraction in one of these areas after getting to know the person, or only like them in one of these areas it’s not worth it.

Iv struggled with this before, you go to a small Church and only know very few woman your own age that are Christians and try to convince yourself that you like one of them because you fell you have very limited options despite not being attracted to any of them (same for Woman). It can end up in Marriage that just docent work as you never really liked the person and wished you had just stayed single. What daily Disciple is saying is very wise even tho it might not be what we want to hear especially with being young and having a bunch of hormones bouncing around in side us, if you know what i mean. great short, thanks mate :)

Yes, facts. Don't write someone off because you're not attracted to them now. Sometimes it takes a week or two, and her smiles, and laughter you can't seem to live without anymore and there you go.

Really good advice and I love how loving and caring this guy is, you can hear it in his voice and see it in his smile. He reminds me that God is good and gracious just by how he speaks

It was definitely like that. I had a series of strong attractions, but no shared foundation. My now fiance had a strong foundation and attraction came in stronger later. I initially considered her a friend and wanted to maintain that, but after a conflict I realized the feelings were stronger.

Nah. My wife wasn't a Christian and is now. She's part of the fruit of my faith and I'm so amazed at the puzzle pieces fitting in retrospect due to God's hand moving in my life.
