My wife is center-left. And on a lot of issues she leans right. We argue politics at times but like Ben said, as soon as we get into values we agree. She may argue that the better way to spread those values is via some Lefty idea. But that is where we discuss things.

I'm not convinced Shapiro should be a go to for relationship advice:

My Wife: I really like this sweater but I think it makes me look old.
Me: Well, you kind of are old now. (We're both in our late 40's)
My Wife: That's not very nice!

I think a conservative would date a lib but not the other way around. A conservative would say "your ideas are wrong but I still love you"
A liberal would say "your ideas are wrong and that makes you X, Y and Z also a racist"

Was dating a girl that was far left. She was so far left I just pushed her a bit now she wrapped around the other side and is now far right. Politics is not flat.

My girlfriend is to the left on some things. But honestly a relationship is a lot more than politics. It’s about how you treat each other. Ya sure she is liberal but she doesent shut me down if she does not like what I’m saying. She counters.
