I had an interview the other day and asked "what can I do to be successful in this role?" At first she was taken aback but said it was a good question. I don't think she was expecting it. But then she gave me a really good answer that was mostly full of things I had already brought up for myself! After that she offered me the job! It's a scary question to ask. I've asked it before and it was clear the interviewer was already sure I wasn't a fit for the role. But it gives you a chance to reiterate some of things they say and give relevant examples.


Also I have a tip for those doing video call interviews! Put post-it notes of key ideas you want to get across around your monitor. So your eyes don't have to go far to look at your notes. Although my Interviewer was mostly looking down taking notes well I spoke, so I didn't have to worry too much about making eye contact.

I binged watched all your videos and purchased your interview guide to prep for my interview this morning. Athough I wasn't given an offer I was sent an email about an hr after the interview letting me know I was selected for the next step in the hiring process which is a reference check. The company is somewhat early in the hiring process, but since they will be taking the time to call my references this tells me I'm a strong canidate.

At the end of the interview I was asked if I had any questions, my first question was "Do you need me to further clarify about my suitability for this position or elaborate on how my skills and experience make me a great fit for this role?", the hiring manager replied that I did a great job answering her important questions and I did well conveying my experience and skills related to the role. My last question was "Can I be a member of your team?" which I said in a jokingly way with a huge smile on my face which made the hiring manager and director laugh. She informed me she had a few more canadites to interview but I will hear back from the HR dept in two weeks. So I was shocked to recieve an email an hour I just want to say THANK YOU! Thank you for producing content that is valuable and capable of changing someones life!

Thank you dear, all five are good ones, I usually ask about the contract duration, locations of intervention, and about the project in general, I also ask question about the orgnizations strategy for the upcoming period.

I came across this and thought back to my interview for my current role 4 years ago. I was asked where I saw myself in 5 years time. I gave my answer. Then at the end of the interview (do you have any questions) I threw the same question back at them as a whole for the organisation. It stumped the panel and got me the job.
