Wondering what questions to ask in your interview? Rhea, an operations specialist for UShip, shares her strategy and tips that helped her get the job.

Here are Rhea's key pieces of advice:

1. Employers care about your questions because they demonstrate your engagement, curiosity and preparation.
2. Consider asking about the interviewer’s perspective, like “What is your favorite part of working here?”
3. If you want more details about the position, get more clarity by asking “What will my day-to-day look like?” or “What is the training period for this role?”

Sorry, but I don’t agree. THOSE questions should’ve been answered PRIOR to even applying for the job, through your OWN due diligence to learn the company’s history & mission, biz goals, etc. I’d suggest getting a visitor’s pass, if one is required, walk the company property all the way into the very space you hope to be working, in that every cubical. You COULD ask the person sitting there if s/he would tell you in 10 words or less the pros & cons of the job duties, BUT you might already be headed home after realizing the work area has NO carpet or AC or windows, no break room or cafeteria, etc. Good luck!
