You’ve heard of aerobics, maybe even hit the gym a few times a week yourself, but what the heck is neurobics? Brain exercises can keep your brain from feeling flabby and help boost an already-fit brain significantly.

Neurobics are also a great way to lift your mood, helping you cope with depression, deal with rejection, and even in overcoming anxiety. We’ll cover the three main categories of neurobics: physical, environmental, and auditory. I’ll show you what they are and how this special form of brain fitness can help your mental life thrive.

Personally, I find these exercises silly. But they have helped me cope with depression and anxiety. It's actually impossible not to feel the power of positivity every time you do them.

P.S. Interested in the Brain Exercise Bootcamp? Here's what Jim had to say:

"Just purchased the Brain Exercise Bootcamp and it is full of so many amazing useful techniques and tools. I initially skimmed over the MMM and now am revisiting to actually study and accomplish. I now know to listen carefully and to not omit one step in either of these programs. Merely reading and familiarizing with content is cheating oneself of a myriad of information and subtle steps/techniques that automatically and amazingly wake up the brain."

The best thing about Dr. Anthony is that he's always so excited to share his knowledge! I started juggling, started practicing Memory Palace technique( though I'm taking a lot of time to get it into real practice) and chanting! I'll surely start some of the neurobics soon. Thank you so much!

Thanks Anthony looks like fun recently started brushing my teeth with my non dominant hand to see what happens. Writing is extremely uncomfortable and totally illegible but shall persevere :-)

Great video thank Anthony! I always get an injection of motivation listening to your work. I have been writing with my non dominant hand while journaling or recalling and I can feel my brain light up with the added focus in the challenge.

This is awesome, I am incorporating many of these into my daily routine and I do believe it is making a difference. Quite frankly I am blown away.

Lots of great ideas Dr Anthony! By coincidence I've recently taken to wearing my watch on my non-dominant side for some strange reason (maybe just to blend in with the dexters! :) )

Admittedly, I have gotten away from mnemonics. However, I had a method that worked effectively for me. I use free standing staircases, of which, I build a mnemonic device. The staircases I use is infinite in length for whatever subject but I limit the amount of steps to 3 and I always start on the first set. So, if you have 10 items to remember: Cheese, Willie Nelson, Leon Spinks, Dodge Rambler, coconut, Spear of Destiny, Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, toast, jingle bells and President Taft. #1 Cheese would start on the top of the first step ascending up to the second step would be #2 Willie Nelson and on the top of the flight in the 3rd position would be #3 Leon Spinks, then descending to the 4th step would be #4 the Dodge Rambler, and down to 5th step would be # 5 coconut and at the bottom of the flight would be 6th position with #6 the Spear of Destiny - this entire process is repeated infinitely with odd numbers always on the top flight and even numbers always on the bottom flgiht of the staircases: the key is alway start on the top of the first step. I first imagine the flights of steps in a location that I can easily recall, and then I build the staircase using mnemonic methods . Example: the first step with the cheese: I would have Samurai cutting the Cheese (double entradre) with a sword while passing gas; the smell would make its way up to Willie Nelson on step 2 causing him to puke a stream of vomit up at Leon Spinks on the top of the steps position 3; Leon would slip across the steps fall down to the 4th step on to the Dodge Rambler knocking the wheels off; the wheels would roll of the edge of 4th step down to 5th and so on and on: this method can be repeated for as long as you want or broke up into many smaller staircases. You've always got the repeated number sequences that can give a nice reminder point, too. You can use each step as a stage to create entire scene that always ends up or down according to the position of the step relative to the step that leads to the next step.

The third exercise is famous in India. When teachers have to punish a student they told them to do the same exercise.

Hello Sir,
Can you make a video on how can we remember a vast amount of information ranging from Geography, Economics, History and Laws in specific accurate details . I tried Mnemonics, memory palace etc. but the output/input ratio is too poor for these techniques
I am preparing for an exam where we have to become almost a walking encyclopedia, so it will be much appreciated if you could help with that

Problem - Remembering Information
constraint - limited time(3-4 month), vast information(lets go with 5 to 10, 000 pages factual information), Must remember for lifetime

thanks

Hi Anthony I need some help or advice. Lately I memorised the book of Jude from the Bible. 25 verses in total (a short book)I had a route where I used real 25 buildings and I stored 1 verse per building. I want to memorize more books of the Bible but I am going to have to at some point remember multiple chapters with verses in each chapter. Have you any suggestions my friend.
