I began learning as much as I could about UC after I was diagnosed ten years ago. I have been in remission for seven years and I eat a whole food plant based diet which fortunately works for me. One of the things I learned was that fibre loving microbes in our colons create butyrate which the immune system uses to detect the health of the bowel. If butyrate levels are low the immune system system assumes the colon is diseased and begins a response. If correct this suggests that a high fibre, natural food diet leads to high butyrate levels and prevents the immune system from attacking the colon.

Doesn't anyone believe in God anymore? We need to place Him in the equation because truth be told in some cases only God can help.
I recommend Him because I am certain He has the solution to this problem and every other...🙏

I have all of the worst symptoms you described. struggeling since I was 11 years old. I am 19. I was never in remission. my large intestine? (dickdarm in german, the part that is furthest down) has been removed at 16. No relief.
I often think about killing myself lately. I just can't anymore.

I suggest everyone try cbd oil and thc edibles in low doses to reduce inflammation, thc helps with stress and Cbd helps with inflammation, try yoga and meditation, exercise 2 hours a day keep your mind distracted, go on hikes, it will help, I have ulcerative colitis and I’m currently in remission for doing those things .

Yeah - I have to avoid fruit and vegetables like the plague. Strangely ice-cream and chocolate milk drinks eaten / drunk just before the rest of my "meals" really helps prevent symptoms. Ice cream seems to line the gut, prevent the usual extreme instant acidification and trigger extra insulin release so that what I do then eat gets efficiently digested. It also stops the powerful but bitter-tasting Solgar and Quest vitamin and mineral tablets I take from causing stomach pain.
