"people are going to expect you to stall, it's going to be fine"

Wish the lifted Dodge behind me this morning honking felt that way

I once stucked on hill a few times it didn't want to move and kept stalling. One man came and helped me. Im very grateful and thankful and always remember that.

I have an auto but I'm respectful when people stall their manual. I don't honk at learners who have started driving.

Not in the United States they don’t 😂🤣

it sucks when your car stalls and everyone starts hooting

In Germany, people never honk at you for tailgating or speeding, but stalling for less than a second makes sitting next to a rocket launch seem like a blessing.

Yo I love how I could do this all so well in my street, but as soon as you get into traffic it all just goes out the window. Being nervous is sick.

"Hill start" and "easily" don't go in the same sentence 😂😭

It's no fun when you stall on a hill with traffic behind you. People behind you must think every car is automatic and you simply must be stopping for no reason.

"When you're learning people will expect you to stall" Well not my jackass driving instructor... Puts me in a huge traffic on a hill, without any practice on any hill whatsoever, for my 6th driving hour. Then it's my fault I'm stalling.

Attempted my first uphill start yesterday and couldn't do it (granted the car was at fault), but I was so worried about doing them again today. Watched this video just before I left and did it perfectly every time. I know this was five years ago but thank you :)

This is really the best video on how to drive a manual car on Youtube. There's a lot out there, but I want you to know that your patience and understanding for the people just starting out makes me feel so much more comfortable when learning. It is true, other cars are honking and it makes me nervous. But your words of encouragement are all I need to stay relaxed and practice carefully. Thank you so much.

I am so thankful for this video! This paired with the tip about heel to the floor helped me to gain confidence in my first manual car. I was practically paralyzed with fear when stopping on a hill.

I take it that you drive a petrol, as hill starts in a Diesel are so much easier. I took my driving lesson in a diesel and never stalled as it is hard to stall a diesel, but as soon as I got in my dads petrol, everytime I would pull away I would worry about stalling. Diesels are great.

Thanks you earned a subscriber, 26 year old and never drove a standard. Bought one and stalled a couple times but I'm getting used to it. One thing for all the new drivers the biting point / sweet spot is the key to driving standard transmission. Once you have a understanding of it focus on it and improve it.
